Spring Break is right around the corner (a week and a half to be exact) and I couldn't be more excited. The weather has been slowly getting better day by day, with chilly ones here and there. For the upcoming break, my girlfriend and I decided we would take a trip to Custer State Park in South Dakota. The pictures we saw from reviews of previous visitors had us in awe. Green plains covered the landscape with bison grazing as cars passed by. Some even rolled down their windows and tried to feed some of them. We thought to ourselves, "this is the one." On the website, it states that trout can be found in the river, eagles flying above, and goats climbing the mountains.

Our plan is to stay there for three nights and four days to see what we can get done. We decided that it'd be a fun experience to do the whole "primitive" camping idea and go to the backcountry part of the park. Though at first, it seemed intimidating. We figured it'd be a fun challenge to try and accomplish as well as having the opportunity to create countless memories.
I will be bringing my journal with me along the trip so that way I can document what I see, do, and feel every day that I am out there. I will also be taking pictures of our campsite, the places we go and anything that catches our eye. When we return, I will transcribe what I write in my journal and upload the pictures I take. This material will be the first blog post I upload after the break so that I may give you my perspective of the park and our overall experience. Lastly, I will review it, and give the destination a letter grade of how I thought the trip went.
If any of you have visited this location, let me know how your experience went and the pros and cons of the park.
Thats all for this post, thanks for reading!
