2 Quick campfire breakfasts how-to's

You know what they say, "breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" When the day before has been long and the night drinking has taken a toll, quick pick-me-up breakfasts are the perfect way to start your morning. We will be focusing on breakfasts you make strictly over the fire and with minimal effort to get a quick boost first thing after waking up.

1. Campfire Bacon, eggs, and Coffee

Oh, the good-ole classic. Nothing beats simple, delicious, and quick.

To start off, you will need the following items:

-Non-stick pan/skillet

-Tongs

-Spatula

-Small pot

-Trash bag to dispose of fat grease

-2-4 eggs

-3-6 slices of bacon

(For more flavor, you can add onions, and peppers to the dish)

-Your favorite coffee grounds

-Salt

-Pepper

-Eating utensils

-Paper plates

-Paper towels

We're going to start off by making the coffee and letting it brew while we cook.

1- Place six teaspoons of ground coffee into the pot and then pour three pints of cold water over the grounds. Place the coffee pot on the fire and bring to a boil. Once the mixture has boiled, take the pot off the heat and allow it to steep for approximately three minutes.

2- Once you have the coffee going, place your non-stick pan/skillet over the fire and place the bacon strips on.

3- Cook to the desired color or texture. Take off the bacon and place on a paper towel to let it soak up the grease.

4- Throw away half of the fat grease that is left behind in the pan from the bacon, we'll use this as oil for the eggs, yummy!

5- With the oil from the bacon still hot, drop your eggs into the pan and cook to desired stage and season with salt and pepper, and that's it, you're done!

To spice up this dish, try it with some potatoes, onions, and peppers to add some veggies to your diet as well as creating a deeper flavor profile!

- ¼ cup sliced almonds

- container of fresh strawberries

-Syrup of choice

-Eating utensils

-Paper plates

1- Begin by pouring the Burnbrae Farms French Toast Egg Creations into the bowl

2- Take 2-6 slices from your loaf of bread and dip them in the bowl until both sides are generously coated and place on buttered non-stick pan/skillet

3- Flip when the four sides of the bread begin to brown

4- Take off the skillet when both sides are slightly brown and crispy

5- Cover the slices with your choice of toppings of, powdered sugar, almonds, strawberries, whipped cream, or syrup

Though this one may have more ingredients, it takes the same amount of time, if not less, than the bacon, eggs, and coffee. This one is for those who prefer to have a sweet bite for breakfast rather than savory.
